Important Updates for our Customers

Updated: November 1st, 2023

We have some exciting news to share. Due to the quick sell-out of our bikes, we're now partnering with refurbished bike retailers in Europe and the UK. This means you can still choose Rad bikes from a local dealer.

Additionally, we have opened our website to all customers (including UK) where you can continue to place orders for accessories (while stocks last) and spare parts. Our delivery timeline remains around 15 business days, but please keep in mind that UK customs and inspections may cause delays for deliveries in the UK.

Additionally, our Service Center in Utrecht is now closed. We kindly ask you to make service and repair appointments with our Authorised Service Partners, whose details can be found on our website.

Thanks for your understanding and continued support.

An important update regarding our Customer Service Support

Updated: Aug 28, 2023

With the recent news about our business closure in Europe, our European Customer Service phone line will be permanently closing as of August 31st, 1pm.

Do not fear though, our commitment to our customers remains our number one priority, and we will continue to offer timely email support from September 1st, onwards. Our goal is to have a first response to you from a real agent within the first 72 hours, Monday to Friday. Please note, sending multiple emails before receiving a first response resets your place in the queue, so we ask for your patience whilst we process all new tickets.

We also would like to inform you that due to a reduction in our teams, we will be unable to support country specific language enquiries, please expect most communications to continue in English going forward.

Updates Regarding Our European Business Closure

Published: August 16th, 2023

On July 10th, we shared important news about our business closure in Europe, at the end of 2023. We want to emphasize that our commitment to you remains our top priority during this transition period. As we approach this change, please know that we are here to support you every step of the way. Over the next few months, we will continue to offer test rides, addressing your queries and service needs, and maintaining ample-stock of our award-winning e-bikes for purchase. Additionally, the availability of repair services through our network of service partners, as listed on our website, will continue seamlessly. For further assistance, our online help center will remain at your disposal.

Our utmost priority is ensuring your satisfaction, which is why I'd like to provide an update on the post-December 2023 landscape, specifically pertaining to bike service and spare parts availability.

To facilitate your future needs, we will offer spare parts and batteries for purchase through our website: These items will be dispatched from our Amsterdam warehouse, with delivery estimated at 15 working days within the EU and similar times for the UK. You also have the option to connect with our local service partners, who can cater to your spare parts and repair requirements, aligned with your convenience.

Now is the best time to tailor your Rad e-bike to match your lifestyle. Please note that our inventory of accessories for purchase in 2024 will be limited (excluding warranty requests). Make the most of this time to customize your ride to perfection.

It's important to highlight that all bikes purchased from Rad Power Bikes are backed by a two-year warranty from the date you received your bike. Our online support team, alongside our certified local service partners, will remain available for inquiries, troubleshooting, and assistance. You can reach out to us via email for the remainder of 2023 and beyond:

For those of you in Utrecht, please note that our Service Center will offer test rides until September 1, 2023. After this date, you can continue to test ride our bikes through our local Service Partners. Additionally, our Service Center will conduct the final repair on customer bikes on October 31st, 2023, in Utrecht. However, our network of Certified Service Partners will remain available for warranty and repair matters, ready to assist you with any inquiries.

We deeply appreciate your support and loyalty, which form the heart of our community. We eagerly anticipate witnessing you continue to embrace the Rad experience for years to come.

Thank you for being an integral part of our journey,

CEO Rad Power Bikes

Our rider community has been at the forefront of our team’s work from day one. I’m delighted by the stories I get to hear every day from our customers worldwide who are riding Rad. You, our riders, are why we do what we do and we wish to update you on upcoming changes to our European business.

Over the past several months, we have conducted an in-depth evaluation of our business globally to ensure that we are on a successful path. After an extensive review of potential scenarios, it has become apparent that in order to sustain our competitive edge and achieve long-term success, we must close our operations in Europe and focus our resources and efforts on growing our North American operations.

For now and the next several months, it is business as usual, and we are fully available to you for test rides, questions and service needs as well as ample stock of our award-winning e-bikes available. In addition, you will continue to be able to receive repair services from our service partners listed on our website. For ongoing questions or troubleshooting, our online help center will also remain available.

Doing right by you is our ultimate goal and we are putting plans in place to ensure the ongoing availability of service, spare parts, and accessories to keep you riding. We will continue to update you on our efforts to ensure you will enjoy riding Rad for many years to come.
