Rad Power Bikes can no doubt be incredibly utilitarian when it comes to errands, commutes, and toting the kids to school and other activities.
Catherine, a Rad Power Bikes enthusiast, takes her 10-year-old son to school and back every day on the passenger seat so they can bond while also living green. They enjoy the time together chatting as they zip by traffic.
Vincent, a 37-year-old video game producer and dad, gets in a 10km ride each way to take his daughter to school on his RadWagon 4 Electric Cargo Bike and still has room to carry some groceries too. He logged 3,200km in a single year on his ebike!
With Spring on the way, we want to give you some ideas to go beyond the practical and get the family out on ebikes for some fun in the sun. Whether on your RadWagon, RadCity or RadRunner, you can always load up the kids with one of our passenger packages or the Conestoga for some springtime adventures.
Ride off the beaten Path
Rad Power Bikes can own the pavement, but they’re also very capable on uneven paths like parks and forests. Get a little escape from the city and take the family out to a local nature spot like a lake, river bank or forest.. Even if it’s a little muddy, our fenders will make sure you only get as messy as you want to.
Customize your bike with the kids
You probably already have the safety essentials like helmets for everyone, but nothing makes for a fun than making your ebike truly unique. Check out our fun accessories with the kids and order some safety stickers, decorative wood panels and custom number plates or colorful pedals and grips. Whatever gets the kids more excited about the ride.
Destination: Treats!
As you’re getting everyone back into riding for the season, it’s smart to start off with short rides with a big payoff. Kids and adults alike can get pretty excited about some ice cream, so load up the kids and bike over to the nearest ice cream shop or bakery and then head on to their favorite playground.
Pedal to the Park
Get the feel of some green grass between your toes by riding to a park for a family picnic with some fresh fruit and cheese and crackers. Keep the kiddos moving by playing football or throwing a frisbee. Or just have a lazy afternoon laying on a blanket and looking for shapes in the clouds.
Get Social
Know another family that likes to get out for rides? Organize an outing with another family or two so you can have your own little bike club to cruise through the neighborhood with. Discover new sights and events, even if they are only a few minutes away from your doorstep.
Enjoy some Water
We know you love the water, be it the sea, a lake or a river, but not all Rad Riders live close to such idil. Our insider tip comes from a Rad employee. Load up the kids for some local water fun. Visit your community swimming pool (indoors or outdoors) and relax while the kids swim themselves tired. If you have a water adventure park near you, you can even make it a full day event.
With the reliability and downright fun zippiness of your Rad Power Bike, you and the family can get out and about with ease and style this spring.
